Redd Kross is back! “Researching the Blues” is the leading single and title track from the band’s first album in fifteen years, out August 7 on Merge Records. The track’s bones are made from the same punk pounding, inspired hooks, and big gritty guitars the band is loved for. Old fans will be glad to hear that Jeff McDonald’s inflected wildman delivery is as captivating and as fresh as ever. The song sounds like it could’ve been released at any point in the last twenty years and has that timeless quality that can only be achieved through the true mastery of craft.
