Sweden’s Kristian Matsson is The Tallest Man On Earth. His two studio albums and pair of EPs have been full of incredible storyteller tunes. He commands your attention with his voice and before you know it, you’re lost in his magic. He is one of a very short list of singer-songwriters that has captured my attention live on a stage all by himself. Today, The Tallest Man On Earth has released the first single from the new LP, There’s No Leaving Now, out June 12th via Dead Oceans.
“1904″ is a classic song that fits right in with the rest of his catalogue. In an interview with Rolling Stone about the new album, Kristian said, “Sometimes I just needed to make it even more abstract because some songs were almost a bit too much than what I could handle right now or than I would want to sing every night for two years.” You can pre-order There’s No Leaving Now here.
