Brooklyn-based Conveyor is set to release its debut self-titled album on July 17th via Paper Garden Records. If you’ve ever wondered what the space between Animal Collective and Yeasayer sounded like, here’s your answer. Conveyor’s attention to detail can’t be overstated, every note and texture is perfectly placed.
The first single, “Woolgatherer,” is a psychedelic, synth-pop gem. A song with so many intricate elements shouldn’t be this catchy. The award for best press release description of the year so far also goes to Conveyor. They are described as, “Brimming with lucid, homey synths layered over acoustic guitars and harmonious vocals, they channel extraterrestrial bible-thumpers drenched in love, spouting acid-soaked pop unabashed to beam with the simultaneous embrace of life/death realities backed by a polyrhythmic, pulsing backdrop.” Honestly, it’s an accurate description and there’s no way I can top it.
